“Needle Addict Since 1995”
(And recently fingerprinted at the local PD)
What?! Don’t judge. I can explain. The headline is in reference to my tattoos, I have a few (okay, a dozen or more). As soon as I turned 18, I was at the parlor listening to Pearl Jam’s “Black” CD drowning out the steady hum of the needle. The fingerprinting was part of the volunteer process for our local school district. We cool now?
Maybe as you started to read my bio you assumed I might be a criminal? Perfect! The entire foundation of this challenge is to facilitate the questioning of our internal beliefs, our
perceptions, and assumptions.
Results that speak for themselves
Nice to Meet You!
My name is Heather Campbell, I chose the title of “torchbearer” because it enforces my intention to illuminate and lead, while acknowledging my own capacity for growth on this adventure. During my (nearly) 30 years of professional experience I have worked in the food service industry, transportation industry, construction industry, property maintenance, ran my own business for 10 years, then ran a successful family business with 4 of my 6 siblings for almost 8 years. Each company provided me with diverse insight as I applied my education and learned from my colleagues.
Years ago, while studying business management, my favorite college professor taught me that whenever someone comes to you with a complaint, first listen then ask for their ideas towards a solution. That has always stuck with me, and I have used it regularly in both my personal and professional matters. What I found across the board, nearly every “problem” that we encounter is created in our own mind as a result of our perceptions, our conditioning, our “domestication.” We have the option to remain attached to old perceptions and identities or allow the space for new ones to take their place. I created this challenge as an engaging method for sharing the complication of wisdom that I have searched out my entire life.
When I am not researching, writing, creating video content, or chasing my 3 children around, you might find me at home working on my latest DIY project while listening to Alan Watts or Eckhart Tolle lectures on YouTube. I also enjoy landscaping, creating mosaic art, east coast ocean sunrises, road trips, manual labor (for real), and a good long walk where I can clear my mind and open myself up to receive innovative ideas. Please read more here (link) or watch my video here (link). If you would like to schedule a phone call you can access my calendar here (link), please allow 15-20 minutes.
My Message
About 15 years ago, a friend gave me a copy of “The Four Agreements.” I had confided in him that I was harboring unforgiveness, particularly towards some family, and he sent me home with the book. The wisdom within had a profound impact on me, yet it was not until years later that I fully immersed myself into researching and writing to expand my awareness and understanding of such ideas. You see, as a single mother of 3 little kids, running a house, property, full-time job, and trying to stay sane, it was out of necessity that I chose to deviate and begin my self-led discovery.
So, I have made it my mission to reach as many humans as possible, whoever may be open enough to embrace the idea of destroying old beliefs in order to live a more fulfilled life. My method for reaching you is through my 30-day perception challenge, where we discuss an important topic each day, and see if we can make more room for positivity, gratitude, resilience, and happiness. After reviewing the daily concept, you will be presented with options for applying your new perspective into real-time daily practices. This is for anyone: corporations, teens, families, charity organizations, individuals, schools. I tailor each challenge towards the audience it is intended for to maximize impact. Results are measurable, powerful, and transformational.
